Dean's Message
August 2024

Dear friends,
Did you know that the Salt Lake Chapter of the AGO is celebrating its 70th birthday this year?
Many things have changed over the past 70 years; while we no longer advertise chapter events in local newspapers or send hundreds of newsletters through the post office each month, our priorities— providing education, support, and opportunities for networking and friendship to organists in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond— have not.
I hope that you will join us on Sunday, September 8 from 6:00-7:45 at First Presbyterian Church as we celebrate the many things our chapter has accomplished over the past 70 years and kick off our 2024-2025 season. During this event, the chapter will also host a music exchange. Feel free to bring any organ scores or books (in good condition) you no longer need…hopefully you will walk away with some new treasures too!
With warm wishes,
Dr. Shelby Fisher, Dean
Salt Lake City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists
