Musical Extravaganza

May 3, 2025 @ 7:30pm in the Sanctuary

The First United Methodist Church is excited to announce that the program is set at FUMC to celebrate the completion of our stained glass windows project.
This is a free-will donation event.  Bring a dollar or five or more, to put in the plate to help us finish our fundraising.  Our goal is $125,000 and right now, we are at $102,301.
The Amichevoli Cello Choir will include about 10 cellos in concert performing Bach, Faure and a rendition of Pirates of the Caribbean that you won’t want to miss.

Karley Swallow, mezzo-soprano, will sing The voice I heard just now from the Barber of Seville.  Karley is one of our sopranos at FUMC and her voice will knock your socks off!

A concert like this would not be complete without Scott Mills performing on The Wesleyan Heritage Organ.  All the stops are coming out and the floor in the Sanctuary will rumble!

To conclude the evening, we contacted Sterling Poulson (recently retired meteorologist with Channel 2 News) who conducts The Choral Arts Society of Utah.  He has arranged for a Chamber Ensemble of 30-voices to sing Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart, arrangements of Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing & It Is Well with My Soul and a selection from the Sunrise Mass by Gjeilo, among others.

We are honored to have Jaimie McGriff (Anchor for Channel 2 News) host as our Emcee.
