Organ Concert Series & Fundraiser
Join Dr Shelby Fisher on Sunday, September 20 at 4:00 p.m. for the next installment of Christ United Methodist Church’s Music Event Series. Enjoy an afternoon of inspiring music while supporting the restoration of our organ. Donations will be accepted at the concert or online. Organ Details & Restoration
- Organ: 1966 Wicks
- History: The instrument has seen nearly 60 years of weekly use at the church located at 2375 East 3300 South.
- Current Need: The organ requires extensive repair, re-leathering, cleaning, and voicing.
- Project Plan: A digital expansion is planned to add versatility without changing the physical footprint of the pipe chamber.
- Cost: The restoration carries an estimated price tag of $200,000 to extend the instrument’s life for decades. The church has hosted special music events and concert series to benefit the restoration fund.
