Workshop: “Prelude, Postlude, and Beyond: Perfecting Your Sunday Morning Organ Repertoire”

 
In this mini-masterclass, Dr. Terrone will help participants polish their Sunday morning repertoire, focusing on interpretation and registration. The workshop will take place on the Lively-Fulcher organ in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. 


Gabriele Terrone

Gabriele Terrone is the Organist and Assistant Director of Music at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, Utah. He oversees the Eccles Organ Festival­ and assists with the training and conducting of the choristers of the Madeleine Choir School. 
 
Gabriele has concertized throughout Europe and the US, both as a solo performer and with the Cathedral Choir, and has recorded for several radio/tv stations and labels. 
 
Before coming to Utah, he served as organist and choirmaster in several important churches in Rome, notably the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where he served as titular organist until 2014.
 
Gabriele obtained his Diploma in Organ and Composition from the Italian State Conservatory. Afterward, he earned the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Organ Improvisation from the Hochschüle für Musik in Luzern (Switzerland). 
 
Gabriele also earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Padova and worked as a researcher at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon (Portugal).
